| Still alive. |
[Oct. 31st, 2009|11:02 am] |
Yeah, I know. I am rarely posting, if ever, these days.
What's new in the last 10 months? Pretty much nothing; I've got a new flat coming January. Spent money on a Nintendo DS. Still playing Rock Band, even if time's short, and considering on a real guitar. Am considering starting Warhammer 40k - still don't know what army. Met a cute girl, similar but not identical interests; hope it'll work out, one way or another. Hope you're all well - I have to admit, I need to get back to commenting.
All in all, life's life.
If I ever win the jackpot, I need to go back to writing my novel. It's still in chapter 3. |

| Down with the sickness |
[Feb. 17th, 2009|01:46 pm] |
Gaa. Am sick (common cold in combination with bronchitis). So I'm laying low - probably for the rest of the week. Good thing that I very recently bought an EeePC and can, therefore, lie in my bed and still do something. |

| Werewolf! |
[Feb. 15th, 2009|12:34 pm] |
So, next gaming roung: Werewolf the Apocalypse. 5 players, two of whom couldn't be at the first session (they didn't know about it).
So, the three characters already known: -Jonas, Silver Fang Philodox/Farmer. Age 15.
-Rafaela, Uktena Theurge/esoteric girlie. Age 13
-Milo, Shadow Lord Ahroun. Age 16
I'm playing the Ahroun, and have to say: Right now I suck. The Philodox can probably tear me to pieces. (Sadly, with the exception of, well, me, all of us have the amazing willpower of *3*. I#m running around with 6, with ain't that much better.) |

| Rock Band |
[Feb. 2nd, 2009|08:28 pm] |
So, I've gotten an X-Box 360 for my birthday (long story, and especially not mine to tell).
Bought a WLan adapter today, so I can play online.
Soon, nothing will stand between me and online Rock Band 2! Well, except an X-Box Live Gold Membership.
Egads! Yes, I *am* ready to rock. (Oh, and to play Dead or Alive.) |

| How to have fun with RPGs |
[Jan. 5th, 2009|09:50 pm] |
Okay, newest rounds?
-Deadlands In which we have a Showgirl and a Hustler on the search for money. And more money. And maybe a little bit (okay, a *large* bit) of gambling. I'm the Hustler. Advantage? Good skills and money. Drawback? Well, I spend money like water. Especially to help beautiful women.
-Hunter: The Reckoning This one I'm running. A Defender and an Avenger. Yes, only Zeal-based, and I'm ruining their lives. (Note: Do not piss off vampires. Okay, they didn't know, but...)
For this, I did a character-specific prelude, and then the Inmbuing. In theory, everything went well - but the chars need to get better tactics. Splitting up in Hunter is deadly. Trying to combat a Monster without a plan? Deadly. Note: We had two combats, nothing more; one at the imbuing, one at the end of the session. All in all, it moves quite slowly, but that's okay.
-Serenity Okay, we haven't played this one yet, but... I'm planning on playing a bio-warfare scientist on a Sabbatical. Am looking forward to this. 'sepcially since I'm playing Alliance. Which is not quite the usual char, I'd like to think. |

Girlfriend? Gone. Told me she never loved me. She discovered that on Christmas. Told me today. Well, yesterday. Well, merry fucking Christmas, and a happy new year. |

So, what's new? I've got a girlfriend. I'm rather busy. My life is... progressing, is proably the best word for it. Have joined two RPG live rounds. Rather funny.
Life is good, I think. But it's too damn hot! |

Whoever told you that Friday 13th was a day of bad luck? Was a lying shithead.
No, not everything went perfect, but good enough, and the important things? Went even better. |

Bought Fragile Things, which is cool, have seen Stardust, which is great, and read it, which was disappointing - maybe 'cause I saw the movie first, and hell, yeah, some scenes of the book are great, but.....
Right now? Neverwhere, which aspires to be even better than American Gods for me. Maybe. I like Door, btw. |

| Tarot test |
[Mar. 12th, 2008|08:48 pm] |

You are The Hermit
Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.
The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.
The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.
What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.
Sadly? It's fitting. And the girl I want would rather choose a devil. |

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your journal and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
Your ball. |

| Who, me? |
[Jan. 19th, 2008|01:53 am] |
Hi there! No, I'm not dead yet.
You know, I could blog about a lot of things. (Most of said things are pertaining that girl, yes.)
But today? Today one of our major parties (I'm based in Germany; we've got two major and three to five minor parties plus a lot of inconsequential ones) announced that yes, the "Bundestrojaner" would have their support. Please note: This thing? Would mean a Trojan horse which could be used to search a suspect's computer. Without their knowledge. Now, this entire thing's more than problematic, on the legal as well as on the technical side. But no, that's not why this is so outrageous. It's outrageous because the Bundesverfassungsgericht, our version of the Supreme Court, is right now debating whether the whole idea is even constitutional, and the signs from there are pointing to "NO WAY IN HELL!" Oh, the other major party? Well, it was *their* idea, after all.... |

| Happy New Year |
[Jan. 1st, 2008|12:03 am] |
No resolutions. No unrealistic hopes. I won't even fire fireworks.
2007 was a mixture of pain and happiness, and I can see 2008 being the same. May your wishes come true. (Unless they conflict with mine, of course.)
Take care, folks. |

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common, and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me, and I thank you for your interest in my words.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they enjoy the savory aroma of monkey brains a la mode."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.
Post, pretty please? |

Merry Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever you're celebrating. I hope you're feeling well - or at least, that you're not alone. Me? I'm a little bit blue, but otherwise okay.
Take care, folks. May your lives be brighter today; or darker, if you prefer. |

Was interesting. I'm in IT, which is quite fitting, and I'm working for an insurance company, which is pretty close to my university. Talked to the other guys on my team; now I'll need some time to sort it all out.
Swedish out. |
